Recontinuify: Mega Man Mega Mix

Welp, I resolved to try doing some dark shading comic illustrations. I figured taking a scene from the Mega Man manga Mega Mix would be a wonderful challenge (more on that later).

So I figured inking with a brush would get me those dark lines I always wanted real easily. I sure was wrong about the easy part. I don't exactly have a light touch so my blunders were constant. Luckily, I could use the computer to erase my failures! Well. Erase some, but my sloppiness isn't something even the computer could resolve me of unless I was going to put an extraordinary amount of time in it. I decided to go back to a simple pen and that made the lines "not a disaster," but even then I was constantly flubbing. Well, I learned the ink is best for dark shading (and shades ) I decided to actually keep some of the error in there to give it a more homey feel, and also remind me that we can't always expect something to come out as we'd like. (It didn't help that I was lazy/reluctant to use rulers while inking) All in all, I'm happy with the result; just didn't come out as good as it could've.

 And yeah. This is a scene from the manga story "the Greatest Enemy in History" redone with elements from the game "continuity." In my own take of Proto Man from the games, I imagine he goes to public areas to keep up with events via wi-fi. (Imagine: web surfing with your braaaain) In the original comic, he uses his civilian attire and walks by a tv shop with the news report. (Wi-fi didn't exist at the comic's creation period: the 90's) Game Proto Man doesn't have that ability (he can barely convert his canon into a hand according to one source), but his advantage is being able to self-teleport (or what I might call an "orbital bounce"), so he could just get in and out anywhere in a jiffy. I imagine ge goes to a minimally crowded area to not call attention to himself. I guess this is a dying mall he's in. You may have seen one of those in your lifetime.
I'd give more context behind the story if it wasn't long; though for those who are wondering and don't care about spoilers it boils down to Mega Man being copied by his enemy and the copy actually thinking he was Mega Man. Though he sets out for destruction at first, when he realizes he's a fake he decides to... well, it's easy enough to deduce.
